The Special instruction box should be optional.
We do not have it available on our online square website because we do not accept substitutions to our menu. Our menu is made for a customer to fully customize their order on their own with any fees involved. When we had a box we came into issues, where customers would think they could go around paying for extras by just writing it in or changing ingredients. We do not want this to happen again.

Roy Ganor: Is there any progress on this? We still have issues with customers ordering online and marking instructions in the box that we can't do and it's causing customer dissatisfaction.

Please make this an optional feature. We have found that people will try to subvert our system by putting notes in and are ultimately being undercharged for items. We then have to go back and manually upcharge when the customer arrives to the location.

Please make this optional! For example, we have prepped and ready to go salads in our menu. Someone could very easily ask for no onions or something when the salads are already prepped and we cannot offer omissions or substitutions.
